Health Insurance
All registered full-time DeVry University students are required to purchase insurance under the Group Health Plan unless proof of comparable coverage is furnished. All registered part-time DeVry University students may be in the insurance plan on a voluntary basis. All part-time students taking less than 6 credit hours are not eligible for this insurance coverage.
All annual insurance policies expire the first of November each year. It is the student's responsibility to renew the policy with DeVry University. To enroll or waive the DeVry Student Health Insurance, go online to http://www.srstudentcenter.com/. Basic student coverage may be charged on your student account using EDUCARD.
To file a claim, print the claim form from http://www.student-resources.net/ web address. Mail the original receipt and a copy of the prescription label on the bottle of the medication (get a second copy of this from the pharmacy.) Make a copy of all documentation for your records. The mailing address is listed on the claim form. The address and telephone number are on the insurance card or call 800-767-0700. Remember: file a claim within 30 days of sickness. To be considered for payment, the company must receive the bill within 90 days after receiving a service. Feel free to contact Student Services regarding any questions concerning the health insurance coverage.
Students with Disabilities
It is a DeVry University policy to comply with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, which governs special accommodation for anyone with a documented disability. DeVry University does not discriminate on the basis of disability. Any current or prospective student who wishes to receive accommodations must submit a request with authorized documentation to the Dean of Student Affairs/designee.
International Student Services
The office of Student Services can assist students who are not U.S. residents. Required forms are issued to accepted DeVry University students after they have submitted all appropriate paperwork.
Other services provided include advice on maintenance of status, change of status, out of country travel authorization, program extension and general advice on immigration laws and regulations affecting international students.
Student Phone Calls & Incoming Mail
DeVry University accepts no responsibility for relaying phone messages to students, with the exception of emergencies and employers. You are responsible for informing the U.S. Post Office, relatives, friends and associates of a proper Colorado mailing address. No department will accept mail addressed to the student in care of the school.
Carpools
As a service to students, the Student Services Office will assist students in organizing car pools. Let us know if you would like to be a driver or a rider, and we can help you find someone to carpool with.
Referrals-Counseling & Guidance
The Student Services Office maintains an extensive listing of counselors and hotlines. If you have a personal concern and would like professional assistance, please visit the Dean of Student Affairs/designee.
Bulletin Boards
Student Services maintains several of the hallway bulletin boards. If a student is interested in posting a flyer, he/she would need to come to Student Services to seek approval. Student Services would then deem if it were appropriate literature to post. Approved literature may remain posted on the bulletin board for a 2 week period.
